My experience working with Coach CT has been nothing less than great! He is an all-around great person. I never had a coach before so I didn’t know what to expect! We started working together 8-9 weeks before my powerlifting competition in April 2017. I went from 105kg class to the 93kg class which was a task in itself. When I got my program I was shocked from amount of volume and frequency that he had me doing. It was a lot more than I was used to. The first two weeks was tough but I started to adapt and I was noticing my strength and recovery time was increasing. Each session was never the same, which was another plus. His approach to powerlifting is very simple but effective! CT is always available no what time it is and he is always honest. We became more like homies than coach and athlete lol! There were times when I was getting worried that I didn’t think I was going to be ready for the meet, but Collin had faith in me which kept me motivated and encouraged. On meet day, Collin took time out of his day to come and be my handler. Having him there took a lot of pressure and stress off me. I asked him to pick all my attempts and not tell what they were during the meet, he was all for it. All I had to do was lift and execute! The results turned out to be as he expected. Squats-590lbs (12lb PR) Bench- 342lbs (tied PR) Deadlift 672lbs (11lb PR) and ending bringing home the 1st place! So with all that being said, if you are looking for an awesome coach and a awesome friend, I highly recommend Collin to anyone! He goes above and beyond to meet the needs of his athletes. Got a chance to work with Collin Whitney through an 8 week program that was personalized to my goals. It was one of the best training decisions I've made and plan to keep working with him. Collin Whitney is a strength and conditioning coach who has successfully totaled 1739 @ 229 pounds. If that alone doesn't make you want to hire him to help you become the strongest you that you can be, than I don't know what else to tell you! I've personally been working with Collin for some time now and I can tell you that he's extremely smart when it comes to programming and equally as helpful by making it easy to talk to and easily accessible through out the day. Even when the man was putting his body through hell to prep for a pretty big meet, he still found the time to help me with my programming and to answer any questions I might have had! Because of him, I feel the strongest I have ever felt! Honestly, I am going to stick with Collin for as long as I can. Thanks to him, I'm feeling extremely confident in my training and in my lifts. In my opinion, one of the best things about working with Collin is he knows the importance of looking jacked AND being strong. He's all about being a “new breed” of powerlifter. With that being said, a lot of his programming is based around higher volume workouts that help build solid muscle mass while also improving body composition. When we started together, I weighed 232 pounds. I'm still about 230-232, but I look and feel way better. My pecs, back, and shoulders have grown. I've even begun to notice some more definition in my hamstrings and quads. And lets face it, legs are the new abs. I've trained off and on since the time I was in high school (I'm now 27). Prior to reaching out to Collin, I was training consistently for a little over a year straight. I had made some small gains but nothing too drastic. My physic had changed more than anything. My strength had barely gone up and I was getting very frustrated. I knew I was doing something wrong and needed help. I saw Collin on IG/Youtube and really liked his training style and strength. He is one strong, yoked savage. And to top it off the guy was actually in shape. Not just some sorta in shape guy, with a decent bench press offering to coach bogus cookie cutter programs. So, I reached out to Collin and got started on a custom 16 week program. I am currently starting week 11 and my strength has improved drastically. In the 10 weeks training with the program Collin created for me, my Bench has gone up 60 lbs, Deadlift has gone up 90 lbs, and my Squat has gone up nearly 100 lbs! I work hard, no doubt about that, but I would have never made these gains without Collin. Collin's program is focused around the barbell. The program allows you to hit each lift weekly, but for different sets and reps, to either focus on strength, power, or hypertrophy. His programming is legit and will get you gains on gains on gains! Just be dedicated to the program, put in the work ,and the gains will come. Collin is always there for you as well. There has NEVER been a time where I reached out to Collin and he did not get back to me within 20 min. 98% of the time he gets back to you within minutes. He can also drop some knowledge on you about supplements and nutrition. He will keep you in mind when you are competing, wish you luck, and answer any questions you have. I had been powerlifting for just under a year before I decided that I wanted to take part in my first meet. In my first year of powerlifting I had gone from a sub 1,050 total to about 1,25). I was happy with my progress, but I never had the discipline to follow any of my own programming (probably because I'm lazy). So I decided to hit my boy Collin Whitney up for some of that A1 programming. This dude's programs ARE NO F**KING JOKE. If you’re willing to put in the hard work in the gym, you WILL break PRs, plateaus, whatever is stopping you. Collin’s programming has been a real eye-opening experience for me. The programs helped me drastically increase my work capacity as well as my training discipline! After 12 weeks of programming I competed in a local USAPL meet and hit my total goal of 1,300 with a 430lb squat, 341lb bench, and a 530lb deadlift while still having some more gas in the tank! Realistically, I probably could have squatted somewhere around 450 (and I really suck at squatting) And probably somewhere around 550 deadlift. But due to an injury I had before the meet, Collin and I decided to play it safe. Either way, the programming experience is great and Collin was always on top of responding to emails, Facebook messages, and Instagram DMs for form checks, advice, questions ETC. I just wanted to say thank you for the coaching and guidance given on the 8 weeks of training we've done. You are extremely knowledgeable and always replied to any questions I had day, noon, or night. I was able to increase my bench from 285lbs to 320lbs my deadlifts from 495lbs to 525 lbs and my squats we're the most improved! Helping me switch from high bar to low bar allowed me to correct my form and increased my strength from 365lb sloppy single to strong 1 rep max of 420lbs!!! Before I came to Collin I was jumping around from bikini to figure to crossfit and every other form of fitness until I found a home with powerlifting. The last few months of training with Collin for powerlifting have been great. I've always been very picky on who I take advice from when it comes to training in the gym. Cannot say enough about the programming! I have really never had any regimented program or set plan for what I was doing in the gym before, so going into this I was a little hesitant on whether or not it was for me. I chose the 12 week program option to prep for my first meet. By the last couple weeks of training, I felt more solid and stronger than I ever have! I was able to ask for any information or help with absolutely anything and never got a BS answer or felt like Collin wasn’t doing everything he could to help. By meet day I was confident and felt like there was no question on what I needed to do. I came to Collin after I had already done two meets. I was nervous about online coaching for a long time since the online world is full of phonies and bad coaching. I sure as heck did not have the time, nor the want, to join a local team - which would have cost me at least triple or quadruple the amount (#BrokeCollegeStudentProbs). I had no idea how to program for myself because I truly did not understand how true strength and power is built. After overtraining on my second meet which lead to not recovering well and barely making some PRs, I thought it was time for a coach, and after following Collin for a while, he seemed like a genuine guy and great fit for me. He has been worth every dime! Collin's programing is solid and well planned out. I made more strength gains in a 14 week prep then I did previously over an 8 month stretch. I now have an idea of proper training and a greater love and respect for the sport along with an appreciation and patience for the time it takes to build power.
